BossMom Podcast Interview

I had the fun experience to talk with Dana Malstaff from BossMom.com on the amazing BossMom Podcast. If you are a mompreneur and are not listening to this podcast, you need to jump on the bandwagon. The hosts Dana and NJ are very knowledgeable, relatable and they keep it real. It takes a lot to run a business and raise a family at the same time and they give you tools and inspiration to keep running down the path to your dreams.

Dana and I had such a wonderful conversation and shared lots of laughs talking about our parenting journeys and our mutual love for the Miracle Morning. I got to share some info that is in our book, The Miracle Morning for Parents and Families, talk about my plans for the future including this blog and I share some Spirit Coach® tools from the book Spirit Led Instead that help me when I am feeling overwhelmed.

The little things of just seeing generosity in your children. Even though small things like, “oh, I’ll get that for you, I’ll get that for you” and instilling that in them. I love that there’s an intentional way to do that because a lot of times we hope we’re teaching our kids that by being that way ourselves and it’s scary to know whether or not you’re doing it or completely failing at it.

This podcast was sponsored by Starship Family Journey, which sounds totally amazing. It’s for parents who love science & sci-fi and want to geek out about it all WITH their kids. The free 5-day Solar System adventure includes the Name-Your-Own-Starship kit, the Pre-Launch Checklist, the Planetary Placemat, and themed downloads for each day of the adventure. There are added easy space-themed dinner and treat ideas and recipes, fun facts, activities, dinner conversation starters for younger and older kids, fun things online, as well as some surprises. I just signed up for the 5-day free trail and if you’d like to join in the fun click here

I loved Dana’s insights and I’m grateful for the messages she’s putting out in the world with her podcast and the work she is doing helping BossMoms find fulfillment in their businesses while they are changing the world. I’m grateful for the hard work she’s put into her community and for the BossMom Retreat she is putting together to help her community connect in person and have some structured time to work ON their business with the support of other BossMoms. I love that at the end of each BossMom podcast she asks her guest what is making them happy. The more gratitude we can share the better!

The best way we can help each other is to help make each others lives easier, and one of the best ways you could do that is to help give each other a PLAN. So a book like this is not to say you’ll never have to do work, but it’s saying instead of having to figure out what your strategy is, instead of having to figure out what your plan is, we’re going to give you the plan, but it is your job as a parent to actually commit to executing it and figuring out how it’s going to work for your family.
